Production process of S355JR steel plate
S355JR is a low-alloy high-strength steel commonly used in construction, bridges and machinery manufacturing. Its chemical composition mainly includes elements such as carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), sulfur (S), phosphorus (P) and chromium (Cr). According to standard requirements, the minimum yield strength of S355JR steel plate is 355MPa.
The production process of S355JR steel plate usually includes the following steps:
1. Material selection and smelting: First, select suitable raw materials according to the required chemical composition and mechanical properties, and then smelt, control the smelting temperature and time to make the composition of S355JR molten steel more uniform.
2. Continuous casting (or rolling): The smelted S355JR molten steel is poured into the crystallizer through the continuous casting machine, so that it can be rapidly solidified into a billet with residual heat. The billet is further processed through a rolling mill to deform it into a thin or thick plate of predetermined size, length and width.
3. Heat treatment: further heat treatment of S355JR steel plate to make it meet the required mechanical and physical properties, including tempering, normalizing, quenching and other heat treatment processes.
4. Surface treatment: S355JR steel plate also needs surface treatment during the production process, including rust removal, painting and other processes.
The above is the typical production process and flow of S355JR steel plate. The market prospect of S355JR steel plate is very broad. In the future, the demand for S355JR steel plate will continue to grow in new energy, electrification, lightweight, aviation and other fields.
